Parking Information

As a courtesy, we reserve the curbside parking on Coll St by the sanctuary and the drive-thru parking area by the school for the elderly, handicapped, or those who require assistance. There is always an Ambassador there to greet and offer assistance. Also, we prohibit parking on the curbside by the Seele Parish Hall for the safety of the children going in and out.

Media Outreach All posters, flyers, or literature posted on the bulletin boards, Connection Centers, or distributed on church grounds must be approved by the church office. All requests for approval must be made by noon on Tuesdays to be posted by church staff on Fridays. Entries for the Sunday bulletin must also be submitted by noon on Tuesday for the upcoming Sunday.

Nursery We offer a staffed nursery for age birth through 3 years old in the First Protestant School area during the 10:30 Sunday morning service. Please see an usher for assistance.

Closed Doors, Open Arms It is necessary to keep doors in all FPC buildings closed so that our AC/Heating systems will work properly. Please don’t let these closed doors make you think you are not welcome! Everyone is welcome to stay comfortable at FPC!

**There is no longer a local switchboard at Christus Santa Rosa-NB. All the calls are routed through San Antonio. Therefore, it is IMPERATIVE that family, friends and loved ones call FPC church office or notify the pastors of any hospitalizations.

At Texas A& M, we always begin the year by welcoming new international students. One of the best ways we do this is to volunteer through the university and assist them when they check-in all the new students. This allows us to make many new contacts. Throughout the first couple of weeks, we take people to the grocery store, help them find a place to live, and get adjusted to life in Texas. At the end of this two week stretch, we host a large welcome dinner. This past year was one of the biggest. We had around 75 students, with every continent (except Antarctica) represented. After this initial period, we begin our weekly Bible studies, which are well attended. We continue to host hospitality events throughout the year, especially around the Holidays. We hosted a welcome dinner, a football watch party, a Halloween party, Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas party and brunch, a Spring break hike, etc.. The goal of these events is to build relationships and to minister through small groups and one on one. How can we pray for you and your ministry?• We always need prayer!• Prayer that these students’ hearts are open to hear the good news of Christ’s saving grace. • As these students return to their home countries that they are able to plant seeds with their family and community.• With increasing costs, prayer for anyone moved to assist with special gifts to help ease our financial month to month stress.

First Protestant School is also involved in collecting for the children affected in the Ingleside, TX area. Please check the back of your bulletin for the items needed for comfort bags and the collection point. The bags will be divided into age groups and each group listing the items needed.

The first series of "DARYL UNLEASHED" will be entitled: "What the Church Can Learn from Harley-Davidson." It will be a two-part series, beginning on Wednesday, October 4th and concluding on Wednesday, October 11th. The presentation will be held in the sanctuary at 7 p.m. on both dates.
