The Port Huron Figure Skating Club’s MISSION: to provide a variety of activities that encourage development, enrichment, and improvement of skating skills for individuals of all ages, levels, and skating abilities. PHFSC applauds skaters in their quest to improve confidence and life skills through team building, sportsmanship, camaraderie, and leadership activities. Our Learn To Skate USA program will teach the fundamentals of figure skating and hockey to all ages and any skill level. This 30 minute class is taught by the professional staff of the Port Huron Figure Skating Club and our volunteer Ice Captains. All skaters that sign up for our Learn To Skate USA Program will be placed in groups according to their skill level. Skaters are tested according to the USFS LTS guidelines and will earn badges and certificates as they accomplish each level.

Skating promotes a fun, physical activity and healthy lifestyle for both girls and boys. Your child will also learn positivity, confidence, andpersonal strength!

Classes are typically held Thursday evenings at Glacier Pointe from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. and each session runs for 10 weeks with new sessions starting in March, June, September, and November.

The Skating Journey STARTS with the PHFSC’s Learn To Skate USA program!

A 10 week session is only $100* that’s just $10 a week!

*USFSA LTS Annual Membership and PHFSC fee also required. Price as of 4/2019.

BASIC INFO:

Where: Glacier Pointe Ice Complex 4150 Dove Rd, Port Huron MI

What to wear: Helmets are recommended but not required. Dress in layers to keep warm. Don’t forget gloves for hands.

Skates: Leather skates are preferred, but recreational skates work fine. Skates should fit correctly and have good support. Coaches and staff will be happy to help should you have questions. RENTAL SKATES are available in youth sz 8-Adult.

Register for our Winter Session and get the opportunity to skate in our Annual Ice Show!Scheduled for the first Saturday of March, skaters can perform in group, feature or solo numbers. Presented at McMorran Place in Downtown Port Huron!
