A Celebration of Life Miss RahZhané Cyntrese Monroe
“Heaven Gained a Beautiful Angel”
Miss RahZhané Cyntrese Monroe was born on October 4, 1999, in Fort Riley, Kansas.
She was the youngest child of Mr. Rodney Monroe and Mrs. Cynthia Latrese Monroe.
Miss RahZhane` departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2018.
Miss RahZhané, affectionally known as “Nae,” attended school in the Richland County
School District Two, and was a recent graduate of Blythewood High School, Class of
2018. She was a freshman at Midlands Technical College, located in Columbia, SC,
enrolled in the Practical Nursing Program, where she departed this life. Miss RahZhané
was also recently employed with the YMCA during the Summer, as well as God’s Little
Angels Daycare, also located in Columbia, SC.
She was baptized at the age of 14 at Bible Way Church of Atlas Road, in Columbia, SC,
where she was a member since she was very young. Her bubbly personality, her smile,
her charisma, her helpful, loving spirit, and attitude drew a lot of people into her life. She
was known for her infectious spirit and smile and her love for children, as she loved to
motivate others and support her friends. She loved to have fun and always had a
beautiful smile. She also loved to take pictures.
RahZhané was involved in many extra-curricular activities at school, various groups,
organizational and faith based programs. She was an avid volunteer in her community,
and was very active in her church. RahZhané was recently selected for a college
scholarship, one of which she was chosen from her church. Her hobbies were dancing,
working with children, shopping, learning techniques of make-up application, cooking,
traveling, volunteering, caring for and being an advisor and confidant to her friends and
listening to music.
Miss RahZhané Cyntrese Monroe leaves to carry on her LEGACY: her parents, Mr.
Rodney Monroe (U.S. Army Retired) Mrs. Cynthia Latrese Powell Monroe (SC Dept. of
Administration); brothers, Rodney A. Black, of Camden, New Jersey and Malcolm X.
Monroe, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Cindy Ann Monroe, Jr., of Houston, Texas; two
special nephews; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, extended family members,
special best friends, and many more loved ones, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Safely Home I am home in heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in heaven at last.
Did you wonder how I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh, but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.
And he came himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remains,
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
