IB Middle Years ProgramMira Loma’s International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP) is an honors level program for 9th and 10th grade students that emphasizes “international awareness” and “critical thinking.” The “Global Contexts”, six subjects and the Personal Project are at the core of the Middle Years Program.

The Personal ProjectThe Personal Project is a year-long research project starting in the spring of 9th grade when students choose their topic. The IB Diploma

MiraLomaofferstheInternationalBaccalaureateDiplomaprogram for 11th and 12th grade students. The IB diploma is recognized as the most cohesive and challenging high school program available to American high school students.JuniorsandseniorsintheIBDiplomaProgramat Mira Loma have several choices:

Mira Loma’s IB Diploma Program is the largest, mostestablished program in the greater Sacramento area. OurIBdiplomafacultyconsistsofexperiencedteachers,many of whom work for the International Baccalaureate Organization as examiners and trainers. StudentswhocompleteIBcoursesandexaminationsatMiraLomaHighSchool have gone on to successful college and university careersinboththeUSandabroad.

The IB Diploma at Mira Loma is much more than anacademichonorsprogram.Whileweprovideavarietyofacademic opportunities, we also prepare young people for the challenges and complexities of our ever changing world.
