6 Mira®

Variability with a single luminaire familyMira® has been designed as a luminaire family with diverse uses. With its recessed, surface-mounted and suspended variants the range is suitable for almost all common applications in buildings, and this ena-bles harmonious building lighting from a single cast. The family consists of the linear luminaire with 1200 mm and the square luminaires with 600 mm

and 625 mm modules. All variants are available with either effi cient LED technology or reliable T16 lamps. The LED modules emit either neutral white light (4000 K) or warm white light (3000 K). The variants with T16 lamps are optionally available with a second ECG, enabling their use in areas with special safety requirements, for example hospitals.

High quality of light for high visual comfortThe homogeneous light distribution of Mira® ensures good levels of contrast and communicates a harmo-nious overall impression with standard-compliant light. Reflected and direct glare are avoided, and this improves visual comfort and the sense of well-being.

The basis for this is the specifically developed micro-prismatic technology which disperses the light of the individual LEDs into homogeneous light, and with very good transmission values. The result is efficiency values of up to 85 lumens per watt.

Sustainable and flexibleHigh glare reduction means that computer screens and workstations can be arranged in rooms with complete flexibility. This in turn gives a high level of flexibility for planning, both today and with future room layouts.

Good glare reduction The innovative prism geometry of the cover ensures wide light distribution without reflections on computer screen surfaces (UGR<19). This gives good visual acuity that also prevents eyes tiring prematurely.

Innovative thermoformingfor optimised light transparency

The optical enclosure is manufactured with athermoforming process. Injection-moulding and

stamping are carried out in a single work processto achieve optimal light transmission, extreme

form stability and an antistatic surface.

Design details The luminaire body tapers upwards. This ensures a discreet appearance. Two mounting sets are available for suspended luminaires: Y-wire suspension and double wire suspension.

Discreet Design

A discreet look for designing with lightAesthetic accents can be set with a functional range of luminaires as well. Mira® unites a discreet luminaire design and optimal designing with light. The cover material and the all-round prismatic edge lend the luminaire a very concise and lightweight overall impression. An appealing corona is created with single

luminaires, and groups give a segmented light ceiling. The luminaire housing completely disappears into the ceiling when laid into strip ceilings, leaving only the cover and corona in view. The surface-mounted and suspended variants form the counterpoint to this with all-round aluminium frames.

A soft coronaThe all-round prismatic edge with specially formed grooves ensures discreet ceiling illumination and a soft, pleasant corona.

Contoured aluminium frameThe frame of extruded aluminium profile protrudes over the cover and has been machined with a highly precise mitre cut. The material is anodised.

The optionally avail-able daylight and presence sensors only allow the luminaire to operate when its light is really needed. Light according to individual requirements. Mira® luminaires can additionally be equipped with emergency light modules.

Low maintenance in continuous operation An all-round sealing encloses the cover to prevent the ingress of dust. Luminaires comply with IP50 protec-tion rating on the room side.

Economic with T16

Economic with T16 lampsAll variants in the luminaire family are available with T16 technology, the right solution for projects where the use of LED is not yet planned. The Mira® T16 variants also have outstanding quality of light, but with simultaneously very interesting purchase costs. The luminaires are equipped with multiwatt ECG,

meaning that they can be operated with lamps with varying wattages. If the application changes, other fluorescent lamps can be simply fitted. OSRAM LUMILUX lamps for example ensure very good results for luminous efficacy, maintenance of luminous flux and colour rendering.

Mounting and relamping without tools When installing the recessed lu-minaire, the reflector bowl can be assembled and disassembled with-out use of tools, and it does not need to be removed for relamping purposes. This is also carried out without tools.

The connection terminal is on the rear of the recessed luminaire and is externally accessible. The plug connection is inserted into the matching T connector.

For complete connection this only then needs to be inserted in the luminaire and pushed down until it clicks in.

Practical with mounting, variable useThe standardised Linect® connection system for recessed luminaires enables both conventional mains connection and connection via the plug connection systems of various manufacturers. The system ensures planning safety through compatibility of all components.

Installation methods and the selection of luminaires are no longer interdependent, and luminaires don't have to be opened any more for electrical connection. This can be carried out without specialist personnel and under voltage.
