this Association for the ensuing yea1·; that he have power to organize Sun­day Schools , Leagues, and Ladies' Aid and that the Churches call on him for this service.

We recommend that Rev. Grady Hudson preach the Introductory Sermon at the next session of this Association.

We find four churches asking for the next Association. We recom­mend that this body decide which shall have it.

We recommend the form of our church conference be attached to our minutes.

We recommend that the Clerk send each church a typewritten blank for their Associational Letter.

We recommend that the Bible references of our Articles of Faith be attached to out· Minutes.

kindness and cooperation in attendance, prayer, testimonies and fellowship. We thank the officers of this Association for their faithful service.

We further tender our thanks to the ministers for the gospel messages they have preached; also to the quartet from New Oak Grove church for the in­spiring songs. It was food to our soul to hear these good songs and rnes-sag·es.

carried in the minutes. 3. By a move the Finance Committee of each church be dropped. 4. By a move Pearce's Mills and Pleasant View be dropped. 5. Be it resolved, that any minister of the Jasper Freewill Baptist As­

sociation who desi1·es to set forth the full functions of the Gospel, the same shall be made known to the Association by recommendation from the church or chur ches to which they belong-. If upon examination they are found wot·­thy the Association may ordain them, but all ot·dinations must be done at the annual Association .

6. By motion the Atticles of Faith and Rules of Decorum were or-dered appended to our minutes.

7. By motion the Association adjourned to meet at the above named place, after which there was singing by the choir and the parting hands were taken amid tears and joy.

8. Be it resolved that we will not accept the baptism of any unor-dained minh;ter .

ARTICLES OF FAITH Art. 1. We believe there is one and but one living true God, who is

in personality the Father, Son a nd Holy Ghost, equal and harmonious in c \'ery divine perfection. 1st. Timothy 2-5.

Art. 2. We believe that God is the author of the Holy Bible, aud t 11at its teachings construe the only infallible doctline of the gove1·nment of His church. 2 Timothy 3-16 .

Art. 3 . \Ve believe that Adam was created holy, but by volunta1·y transgression fell into depravity, and consequently involved his posterity ill sin. Genesis 3-6.

Art. 4. We believe that the grace of God comprehend::; all spiritual blessings; that the gospel i::; the power unto salvation; that the Holy Spirit not only reproves the world of sin, but is lhe means whereby sinners art C"onverted, regenerated and saved. Romans 10-12.

Al't 5. \ v e believe that Chl'istian faith is belief in J esus Christ, the Son of God and Redeemer of the world, and in the inspiration of the Hoi~; Scriptures, that faith comes by hearing· and hearing by the Word of God. .John 3-36.

Art. 7 . We believe that the human will is free, and that man has ability to accept or reject the conditions of salvation as they are revealed in the H oly Scriptu1·es. Michael 6-8.

Art. 8 . We do not believe under the gospel dispensation that any soul is elected to eternal life unconditionally, but that those who by faith persevere to the end will be saved; that it is possible for men who have been converted to make shipwreck of faith, turn again to sin and be finally lost. Luke 9-62. ·

Art. 9. We believe lhat good works is the 1·esult of faith and that those who have faith will do works of righteousness, while those 'who have no faith cannot do anything· pleasing- or acceptable to God. Matt. 7, 19-20.

Art. 10. We believe that Christian baptism is in the imrnerRion of a believer i~ the name of. ~he Father, Son and Holy Ghost, that baptism can-110t be scripturally admnH:;tered without faith in the subject who receives it. Rom. G-4.

Art. 11. We believe the Supper instituted hv our Savior is a com­memorative ordinance; that it was instituted for Christians and that all Christians unite in observing the sacred se1·vice, regardless of name or de­nominational distinction. 1 Cor. 11, 28-29.

Art 12. ~Ve believe that man is a living soul; that the body will die. ~ut that the soul IS immortal; that death is the ::-;eparation of the mortal and tmmot'tal parts of human bcing·s. Genesis 2-7.

Art. 13. W e believe in the resunection of the dead. When the resunection shall take place the soul and body will reunite and form an im­mortal being-; that the rig·hteous will be received into a state of everlastin n· happiness to reign with God forever and ever, but the wicked ·will be boun~ han.d af!d foot and cast nit<? outer darkness. The wicked are dr iven away in the1r w1ckedness, but the ng-hteous have hope in their death. .John 5, 28-29.

CONSTITUTION . 1: This Association shall be know11 as the J asper Freewill Baptist

2. This body shall be considered an advisory council. . 3. All qu.estions of doctrine an~ 1~1atters of general interest shall be

dectded by two-th1rds vote of the Assocmtwn, and the decision shall be final. 4. The officers of this Association shall be a Moderator and Clerk­

7. Only one person shall speak at the t ime and he shall arise and address the Moderator, and afte r r ecognition by the moderator he shall pro­ceed.

88. No brother shall be interrupted while speak ing unless he shall depart from the subject under discussion or use words of personal 1·eflect ion.

9. No person will be a1lowed to speak more than twice on the same subject without leave of the Association-nor more than 15 minutes a t a. t ime.
