Events Committee & Subcommittee Reports o Events Committee Coordination Barry McNeill

Barry posed the question for discussion as to whether we want to reserve a different room for the meet and greet and the potluck to accommodate the increase in attendance for these two events? Now is the time to make the move to a different location. The Pyle Center in Tempe was suggested. The rooms have a charge. We need to decide now as they do their room reservations in January. A motion was made, seconded and approved to give authority to look to move the meet and greet and potluck to a different facility.

Gary Anderson has taken a new position with another group so we need to get a replacement. Are there other issues, in addition to ASRS and ASU related issues that we want to be made aware of? Barry will put out an eNews article to see what may be of interest to the membership. Things that could affect our membership!

Legislative District A discussion was held as to whether it would be beneficial to add the members legislative district to his/her membership record. This would give us demographic information as to how many members we have from each district. After discussion it was decided that we wouldnt include this information at this time.

It was recommended that we include the links on the web site on how to find out what district you are in. Jeri will include this information in the article she is developing for Prime Times on legislative activity.

Annual meeting in April (date depending on the location and speaker availability) The future of journalism will be the topic and will be held, if possible, downtown in the Walter Cronkite building.
