Keynote SpeakerEDWARD WOLIN, MD | Markey Cancer Center, University of Kentucky

Edward Wolin, MD is currently Director of Neuroendocrine Oncology as well as Director of Clinical Oncology Research at the Markey Comprehensive Cancer Center at University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. He earned his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Wolin performed his internship and residency and at Stanford University Medical Center and his fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. He directs a large patient care and clinical research program. His

research efforts are directed at finding treatments which are more effective and less toxic. Dr. Wolin’s research is also directed at development of new imaging and diagnostic procedures for carcinoid/neuroendocrine tumors.

The mission of the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation (CFCF) is to discover cures and improved treatments for carcinoid cancer, pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer, and related neuroendocrine cancers. CFCF also works to eliminate the suffering of patients, families, and caregivers affected by neuroendocrine cancers.

The Focus on Neuroendocrine Tumors Conference is being held in collaboration with the Penn Medicine Development Office and the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation.
