Background  Kim Nelson, COO of Kelber Catering Inc of Minneapolis, MN recently purchased VisionQuest digital menu boards to refurbish existing concession stands in the Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC).  Kim had used a static menu board system from The Howard Company for a project in Madison, Wisconsin at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.  His first exposure to all the products offered by VisionQuest/The Howard Company was at the National Restaurant Show held annually in Chicago.    

The Challenge 

While in the initial planning and design phases for the MCC, Kim determined they should feature the latest technology as part of the renovations.  After much research and interviews with several digital providers throughout the country, Kelber Catering had difficulty finding one provider who could offer screens, hardware, software and content in one affordable package.  Additionally, Kim wanted to be able to change content in‐house.  VisionQuest was the product he found that met all their needs. 

The Solution 

When asked what feature of VisionQuest most appealed to him, Kim responded, “The ability to make changes easily using in‐house staff and an in‐house server. We were not interested in having the content hosted off‐site and needing assistance in making routine changes.  VisionQuest really fit the bill!”  Additionally, Kim found The Howard Company and its VisionQuest digital menu board to be a great product and package that was easily affordable. He concluded his comments with “At the end of the day, VisionQuest was exactly what we were looking for, and delivered exactly what was promised.”
