Finally getting a full night sleep and a good breakfast we set up all the tech stuff and got ready for the international partners to arrive. Nov. 7. The biggest struggle of this day is figuring out who we will give the ministry equipment to that we brought to use for the conference. We try to line up what we have and the needs of the different ministries around the world. This is such a seriously responsibility and it is very hard, because there are MANY legitimate needs. We are giving away 3 video projectors, 2 laptops, an ipad and many cables for use in their ministries. What joy it was to be able to give away these items to worthy candidates.

Technology Impacts Ministry Ministry Enhanced Through Tech

The average person spends 23 hours a week on texting, the internet watching videos, sending emails and sharing on an average 217 photos on facebook. Why? Well, everyone has their reasons and circumstances that control the time they spend using technology. I have found that technology is an enhancement to my ministry, if we stay within good boundaries and accountability.

Technology has enhanced my communication with my supporters through email broadcasting and website uploading. I share my testimony of God’s grace daily as I live an authentic faith of following Christ in front of all those I am connected to through social media. Giving the 8gb USB drives filled with content and software to help our partners in ministry. We gave over 100 USB drives away.

My daughter, Kara, and I had the opportunity to help facilitate the 2013 International Partners World Conference outside of Bangkok, Thailand. It was five days of recharge and refocus for many international leaders from around the world. There were brothers from Brazil, Africa, India, Philippines, and many others. TechPartner came along side Chris Hindal of the GARBC International to help run all the technology for this special conference. We recorded each session for later viewing, ran all the projection for PowerPoint, controlled the sound system, as well as enabled the partners to be able to present their ministries using technology methods. It was many long hours to get there and return, but it was extremely worth the travel time and funds to accomplish this ministry trip. I want to thank so many of you who helped get us halfway around the world as we ministered for Christ in this way.

We had an opportunity to be able to give away the technology we brought to use at the conference to many different brothers in ministry. You can see highlights of the ministries we gave these tools to on our website. What a joy to be able to empower different ministries with tools they could not afford but desperately needed and desired!

Thanks again for your faithful support of techPartner. We continue to be busy with ministry needs as we Equip, Train, Support and Mobilize to impact the world for Christ with effective technology use.

Great Gathering of Many Nations

Technology Impacts Ministry - continued But when the proper tools are not maximized, life can be very frustrating. Recently I made a mistake clearing out some content on our webserver; I totally wiped out our website for the ministry (www.techpartner.org). Now that is a bad thing, especially when you are a ministry that is supposed to HELP people with web content. Realizing that our backups have not been functioning to the fullest, we quickly discovered that what was done was irreversible. Oh, the feeling you get when you know you have to start all over with a huge process, all the while remembering the other projects you are currently doing in the ministry. Overwhelmed is an understatement, but I believe in God’s sovereignty in ALL areas, even technology. Now I am setting forth to rebuild and reconnect our backups and double check ALL our backups on our server to protect the ministries we partner with. I am thankful it was my site and not someone else’s.

LWIF (Look What I Found)

I surf the internet a lot (I realized just how much I do when the internet was not available to use on our ministry trip to Thailand for the Partners World Conference). I have been trying to collect the sites along the way that I feel would be helpful resources for those in ministry and store them on our website using a tool called “delicious.com.” It is very easy for me to “bookmark” a site in my chrome browser so that it automatically shows up on techpartner.org for others to see. Look for the links in the menu and on the right side of the articles on our site.

FALL 2013 MINISTRY UPDATE – WWW.TECHPARTNER.ORG

Tech Giveaway! Today Pastor Prasad Sakile of the New Life Regular Baptist Society in Andhra Pradesh, India, walked out with a Toshiba projector and laptop. Pastor Sakile will be using the laptop to translate Regular Baptist Press curriculum into the Telugu language and the projector to train Sunday school teachers how to use that material correctly. He has already trained more than 750 teachers with the material he has started to translate.

Also receiving a projector and laptop is Pastor Pousiam with Berean Baptist Ministry. He mentioned to me that this gift is a huge blessing as he anticipates using it in preaching, Sunday school, outreach, training and in their school chapel. They have a children’s home and a large Christian school. This complete package was an unexpected blessing to him and his wife as they were being encouraged in ministry at the IPFBM conference.

What a joy it was for me to be able to give away many different forms of technology tools to help men and women in ministry! An effective tool in our world today is the iPad. I acquired a good working iPad that I set up with apps as well as added some funds to be able to use if for ministry. It has all the cables to be able to teach from as well as show videos and photos. During the conference I targeted a young man, who was asking several questions about ministry apps and tools that would help him reach people for Christ. He seemed like a great candidate. So, late Thursday night I surprised Ebenezer Simon with the iPad, and he was immediately overwhelmed with gratitude and excited to be able to have such a tool for

ministry. We have connected on Facebook, and I continue to invest in him and help him in ministry.

With only one projector left to give out, we continued to look for the best fit and effective fit in ministry. After meeting the leaders of the Bangladesh Association of Baptist Church, I knew they could use this tool. The have been praying about having a video projector to use to train leaders in leading strong churches and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ.

I look forward to one day knowing how these tools were effectively used to serve the One True God! You can read an article by the Baptist Bulletin on Chris’ trip to Thailand http://baptistbulletin.org/?p=32567
