Parish ‘Job Fair’ We are holding an event after each Mass on the weekend of the 31st May / 1st June to showcase all of the activities and groups that are based in the parish. There are quite a few areas where we are looking to augment the numbers of our current volun-teers, and I know that there are newly arrived parishioners who are yet to find themselves a ministry in which they can be involved. On this weekend we will be making use of name badges as we are all guilty of getting to know a certain number of people by name, but then reaching a point where we know people very well by sight, but we don’t actually know their names. Parish Magazine If you have any prayers, jokes or stories you would like included in our magazine please hand it in to the Office marked 'magazine'. We are aware that we are a parish of nationalities and would welcome similar contributions from our friends from other countries (plus translation!). Deadline for this copy is 31st May.
Clare Priory Pilgrimage in honour of Our Lady of Good Counsel will be

Coffee are provided but please bring a packed lunch.

7.30pm in the Committee Room. New members are always welcome to come

James Hurst writes . . . . My son Gus Hurst, is a Royal Marine who dam-aged his foot over a year ago whilst taking part in the Royal Navy sporting championships. The damage is bad and will take a long time to get right if ever. The Royal Navy and Help for Heroes have been a brilliant support, and I am very proud that he wants to give something back by going to Lourdes this July as a helper. We are trying to raise the £500 that he needs to go. I am so grateful to the friends in the Parish who have already promised their help. If you want to help too, please put your contribution into an envelope labelled simply ‘Gus,’ and give it to Rita in the Parish Office.
If you need help or know someone who needs a hand please call 07842 129247 or 01638 662492.

riage, together with your families, to join me at the Cathedral of St. John
the Baptist in Norwich for the Annual Mass to Celebrate Marriage and Fami-ly Life on Saturday 21st of June at 11.00am. I would also like to invite en-
gaged couples who are preparing for the sacrament to join us for this joyful
affirmation of marriage and family life. I look forward to welcoming you,
and meeting you at the reception afterwards.' +Alan S. Hopes, Bishop of East Anglia

CAFOD Pilgrimage on the ‘Camino Tolosana’ Fr. Simon is joining with some former parishioners from Diss to walk a 160 mile section of this ancient pilgrim route across southern France towards Toulouse (from Le Bousquet d’Orb) in the first two weeks of July. If you would like to sponsor him you can choose an item from the CAFOD ‘World Gifts’ selection. Please view this on the CAFOD website for more details. Although it is short notice, if you are fit and able to walk up to 18 miles a day (am I???) then please speak to Fr. Simon as we have had some of the expected participants drop out and some more walkers would be welcome.
Fr. Simon is away… during this coming week (12th to 16th) at the Canon Law Society of Great Britain and Ireland, held this year in Harrogate. I am grateful to Fr. Anthony who is supplying the weekday Masses.
Diocesan Learning Together Days The next learning together Day will be here in our Church hall on 31st May. The day will be led by Adrian Graffy on :The letter of St. Paul to the Romans. If you would like to attend please register with Rita in the office.
