2018 Pastoral Installation - Plans for the installation celebration for Pastor-elect Jerome Tarver are under way. This great event will be held during the month of March 2018. There will be a pre-celebratory banquet on Friday, March 16, 2018. Save the date and begin praying now for this history making event. More information will be provided as plans progress. †The Men’s Ministry of Maple Springs Baptist Church is parting with Forte Foot Baptist Church to assist veterans, men and women who need suits to have a second chance to obtain viable employment with career opportunities. We need your support, please bring your donated suits to the church on Saturday, January 20, 2018 between 9:00 AM and 12 Noon. This is a way we can pay if forward and see the smiles of those who have a need.
†If you are unable to participate in the Sunday morning giving of your tithes and offering, you can take advantage of the other methods of giving as provided by the church. You can drop your offering envelope in the late box located outside the sanctuary door closest to the Media room. Church Inclement Weather Policy - Maple Springs Baptist Church (MSBC) follows the Prince George’s County Public School System’s Inclement Weather Policy. When the schools are delayed or closed; the church will follow the same procedure. The Trustee Ministry will determine Sunday openings and delays. The information will also be available on the church’s website.
†A tribute will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018, during the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service in honor of Maple Springs Baptist Church (MSBC) members who passed in 2017. If you would like your deceased loved one(s) included in the tribute, please complete the information on the flyer that is in today’s bulletin. Please place completed information it in the Tribute depository box located in the vestibule by December 31, 2017.
†Tutorial Ministry - The tutorial program will be in recess after tomorrow Monday, December 18, 2017, and will resume on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
†Tuesday Night Bible Study Class is currently in recess. Bible class will resume on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Please join us as we continue to praise God through the holiday

†Facilities Use Form and Weekend Church Operating Hours: Ministries please remember to submit the completed Facilities Use Form (located across from the Trustee’s office) two weeks prior to your scheduled event. Our support staff
custodians are contracted employees of National Service Contractors, Inc., and have been instructed to adhere to the floor plans submitted by you to the Trustee Ministry. As a reminder, our hours of operation on Saturdays are 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Sunday hours are 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Please adjourn your meetings accordingly so that staff has adequate time to secure the properties. †MSBC Senior Ushers’ Ministry –The history of ushering can be traced back to the very beginning of man’s existence. Throughout the scriptures, we can find ushers being called “watchmen” (II Samuel 18:24-27) and “doorkeepers” (I Chronicles 15:23-24). Today, we are called “ushers.” If you

Reverend David Emmanuel Goatley, PhD
Reverend David Emmanuel Goatley, is the Chief Executive Officer of
Lott Carey, a global Christian missional community founded in 1897,
which extends the Christian witness throughout the world. The Lott
Carey network of churches shares prayer partnership, financial support,
and technical assistance with communities engaged in ministries of
evangelism, compassion, empowerment, and advocacy.
As Lott Carey’s Executive Secretary-Treasurer, Dr. Goatley cultivates
vision, oversees administration, and leads development efforts to invest
in indigenous leaders and people in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe,
North America, Oceania, and South America. An ordained Baptist
minister who has been an urban missionary, lead pastor, and university
and seminary professor, Dr. Goatley earned Associate and
Baccalaureate degrees from the University of Louisville (KY) and the
Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from The
Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (KY).
A global strategist, leadership mentor, and thought leader, Dr. Goatley
serves on the NAACP National Board of Directors. He is an author,
publisher, and preacher who resides in Metropolitan Washington, DC
