The Activity

• You will create a miniature meal using polymer modeling clay, chalk pastels, acrylic paints, paper, fabrics, and other found materials.

• Your meal must contain at least 3 different foods and can include a beverage if you choose.

Steps

• Research polymer clay artists – see links in handout.

• Complete Brainstorming sheet and print visual references

• Complete Planning & Reference sheet and print visual references

• Complete Make it a Meal Drawing sheet by creating 3 color drawings of your final plan.

• As you develop your meal, think about the following:• Your meal must

include at least 3 different foods

• Consider an optional beverage

• How will you present your meal? Plates, trays, napkins, etc.

• How will the parts of your meal be arranged together?

Steps

• Plan the size of your meal… it should be a 1:6 to 1:12 scale of the actual size food you are replicating.
