Mystery MineralTo find the name of my mystery mineral that Mr. Finan gave me, we had to use the scientific method. First, I looked at it, began to examine it, and started to get accustomed to my mineral. The first thing I realized is that it was very rough like a brick, and its colors were yellow, gray, black, and white. My mineral, Cerussite, and Celestite all have a colorless streak. I started to figure out that it was sub-metallic because it was dull like the wall. Its density was as expected with a medium density like a trophy. Then, I made an educated guess by making a hypothesis; my mineral is either Cerussite or Celestite. A reason that I picked these minerals was because of Mr. Finans hints and the properties of these minerals matched mine. I did not think my mineral guesses were right but it was actually Celestite. For the most part, the thing that helped me identify my mineral was the hints Mr. Finan gave me because I had no idea what my mineral was. In conclusion, my hypothesis of my mystery mineral was correct because the scientific method never fails you if you do it right.
