    Bulk of Indian coal is of poor quality Gondwana coal is mainly Bituminous Bihar (Dhanbad(Jharia,Chandrapur), Hazaribagh,Palamau) Raniganj(WB)-> oldest & largest field (35%)

    Petroleum In Anticlines and Fault traps. In India it is found in the Sedimentary rock formation Assam Belt -> Digboi, Naharkatiya,Sibsagar,Rudrasagar Gujrat-Cambay Belt -> Vadodara, Baroch,Kheda,Mehsana & Surat

    Oil Refinaries: Digboi(Assam),Mumbai(2),Vishakhapatnam(AP),Guwahati(Assam), Barauni(Bihar),Koyali(Guj.)Bongaigaon(Assam), Mathura(UP), Panipat(Haryana),Kochi(Kerela), Mangalore(Karnataka), Chennai(TN)

    Uranium Igneous regions of the Bihar(Jaduguda in Singhbhum), Rajasthan, AP(Nellore) & parts of Himalaya Mozanite sands of the Kerela Coast

    Thorium Kerala(Palghat,Quilon), AP(Vishakhapatnam)

    Iron Orissa+Bihar(50%) Orissa-> Sundarghar,Mayurbhanj, Keonijhar Jharkhand-> Singhbhum MP(20-25%)-> Bailadila range Karnataka-> Sandur-Hospet(Bellary Distt.), Babuadan(Chikmangalur Distt), Simoga, Chitradurg
