COP-3 adopted MC-3/10 on arrangements for the first effectiveness evaluation of the Minamata Convention, and in the decision requests the

Secretariat to compile the views of parties on the proposed indicators in advance of COP-4. As laid out in the plan of work this session introduces

the three-step process of intersessional work to be done in this regard, and particularly to give additional information to support Parties in their

consideration and preparation of their initial views. The submission of initial views are due by 30 November 2020.
