THE SIMPLICITY 6 GLASSROOM

The Simplicity Alfresco with the Glass Room upgrade has been such a popular product that we have developed a glass room upgrade for the Simplicity 6 too.

In November, our very first Simplicity 6 Glass Room was installed at a domestic property in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The homeowners decided to have the aluminium frame finished in Red Brown (RAL 8012) to complement their beaut iful surroundings.

They chose to enclose only part of their Simplicity 6 with the glass doors so that they could st ill use part of it as a veranda, all while also using another part of it as an enclosed, fully protected garden room. Giving them the best of both worlds.

The roof panels installed were 6mm bronze t inted glass to help block out a lit t le more of the sunlight, adding more shade underneath both the enclosed and unenclosed areas.

The Simplicity 6 Glass Room will be available to order early next year and all Sales and Market ing Literature will be available to download from the Trade Partner Area of our website.

CARPORTS ? NOT WHY, WHY NOT?

The Autumn & Winter months are upon us and with this comes the wet and cold weather which we are all used to but never enjoy. Our Trade Partner customers enjoy the benefits of being under a veranda and enjoying the outdoors but how often do we think about the metal members of the family? A carport is a fantast ic addit ion to your customers' home and their cars will love them forever. Some of the many benefits of having a carport are:

- Keeping the family dry from the house to the car, especially on those school runs! Who needs the stress of drenched kids and animals first thing in the morning?

- Reducing the effect of frost on the car and the t ime it takes to get rid of it all! Doesn?t it always happen on the day you are in a rush?

- Protect ing the paintwork from our

flying friends. The Uric Acid in bird poo is corrosive enough to eat past a layer of wax protect ion and can even start to etch the paintwork in less the 10 minutes.

- Giving you protect ion from the elements to carry out your basic car maintenance in any weather situat ion, including cleaning, waxing and the dreaded hoovering.

- Storing the bins under, so there is no excuse not to take the bin out because it is raining and wait ing for someone else to do it in better weather.

All of our Simplicity systems can be used as carports. It?s best to go for a polycarbonate opt ion if you are concerned about protect ing the paintwork of the car from paint fade caused by UV light. If you require a double carport you could go for the Simplicity 35 which projects to 6m or the Simplicity Alfresco Polycarbonate

which also projects to 6m but gives you 6m between posts if you wanted to create large bays for bigger vehicles.

ARE YOU CONSIDERING EACH STAGE IN THE 'CUSTOMER LIFECYCLE'

AND USING A PROVEN PROCESS FOR MOVING PEOPLE THROUGH IT?

If you're reading this, the chances are, you want to generate more customers and sell them more stuff.

If so, I have two questions and some ideas to help you.

Q1) Have you considered each St age in t he Cust om er Lifecycle... in your Cust om er Get t ing Plans for 2018?

Here's one example of why this is so important...

Research has shown that out of everyone who could be interested in buying your products in the future...only 3% of those people are actually ready to buy today.

This means that if your marketing messages are all about 'sales' you are alienating the 97% of people who are not ready to buy today, but might be interested in buying from you at a later date.

Marketing to the 3% with 'sales' messages is necessary, and of course, your competitors will be competing with you for the attention of the 3% of people who are ready to buy right now, so you obviously need to keep selling.

However, if you want to significantly grow your sales... or even double your sales, a more effective & more profitable long-term strategy would be to also market to the 97% of people who are not ready to become 'customers' right now, but might be interested later.

This is done by offering information to advise, help & educate your Target Audience, aka Lead Gen. Market ing.

This is all about building trust with 'future' customers... to get your 'foot-in-the-door ' long before your competitors do, as they will most likely be focused on broadcasting sales messages to the 'deaf ears' of the 97% of people not ready to buy just yet.

So, at the first point of contact with 'Targets' instead of just 'selling', try offering those 'customers of the future' free info, to get your foot in the door & build trust.

You could offer people the Free Product Guides that can be downloaded from the Milwood Trade Partner Area.

Q2) Are you follow ing a proven process t o m ove people t hrough each st age of t he Cust om er Lifecycle?

Here's the thing...

Your success for generating a lot more leads, customers and sales in 2018, relies on your ability, or the ability of your staff/ team to "communicate the right message at the right time" with people at each stage in the Customer Lifecycle.

To move people in your Target Audience, through to becoming Prospects, Leads, Customers, Repeat Buyers & Advocates, who refer your business to others, I recommend the following 3-Step process:

#1: CREATE m essages t o educat e, advise & help people, at each st age of t heir cust om er journey

#2: OPTIMISE your m essages for lead generat ion, sales conversion and for cust om er ret ent ion

#3: SHARE your m essages using m ult iple m edia channels t o m ult iply your sales result s

This is the process we use at Milwood Group, which ensures our marketing messages are communicated more effectively, with the right people at the right time, to multiply our sales results.

I developed the Multiply® iMarketing Method and I am sharing a Walk-Thru guide with Milwood Resellers & Friends who would like to increase their sales too.

INSTALLATION OF THE MONTH

Diamond Home Improvements, who are based in Dorset, recent ly installed a Simplicity 6 veranda at a domestic property in Wimborne, Dorset.

Their customer opted for glass roof panels that were t inted in a light blue shade to add a splash of colour as well as a unique appearance to their veranda. They

also chose to add the Victorian Upgrade which softens the veranda from a modern structure, to a tradit ional styled veranda.

The frame was finished in black to match the exist ing outside features such as the guttering and the garden furniture.

A CHEESY RHYME FOR CHRISTMAS TIME

As the year end approaches and the festivities begin,The office vibe enhances and we feel joyful within. We start to wind down and look forward to our parties,Just remember not to drink too much - you don?t want to make anyone snarly!

And when you?re sitting at home keeping warm by the fire,Don?t be afraid to indulge, there?s nothing wrong with a spare tyre. You have to remember Quality Streets and mince pies are essentialJust don?t forget, when the kids show up, it's best to keep them confidential!

The Milwood Group would like to wish you the merriest of them all,For it?s the time of year to pat yourself on the back, knock back a few bevvies and have a ball.So goodbye for now, we?ll speak again in the New YearBe happy, be prosperous and full of good cheer

According to tradit ion, you should eat one mince pie on each of the 12 days of Christmas to bring good luck. Have you got that guys, 1 per day? not 12 everyday!

The three tradit ional colours of most Christmas decorat ions are red, green and gold. Red symbolizes the blood of Christ , green symbolized life and rebirth, and gold represents light, royalty and wealth. However, you are not limited to colours with carports and verandas.

You would have to use your art ificial t ree for more than 20 years for it to be ?greener? than buying a fresh-cut tree annually. That?s nearly as long as the life expectancy of our Simplicity range.

Before turkey, the tradit ional Christmas meal in England was a pig?s head and mustard. At Milwood, we prefer sheep eye soup as it sees us though the week.

It?s technically illegal to eat mince pies on Christmas Day in England. In the 17th century, Oliver Cromwell banned Christmas pudding, mince pies and anything to do with gluttony. The law has never been rescinded. We will be breaking the law every day in December at Milwood.

Mist letoe (Viscum album) is from the Anglo-Saxon word misteltan, which means ?lit t le dung twig? because the plant spreads though bird droppings. Now that?s put you off kissing anyone hasn?t it?!

Rudolf and his fellow Reindeers Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen have male-sounding names. Male reindeer actually shed their ant lers in winter, so the reindeer pulling Santa?s sleigh are more than likely to be female or castrated as they are always shown with ant lers. ...and it's not much different in the Milwood office either, with Cathy, Sade, Kas & Atlanta doing most of the work this time of year ;-)

Tinsel was invented in 1610 in Germany and was once made of real silver. ... on the weekends, Andy loves nothing more than dressing up with Tinsel.

557 - The number of Alfresco Glass Rooms that could be filled with the beer consumed in the UK over Christmas.

Want to know a useful way to recycle your Christmas tree? Some zoos take donated Christmas trees and use them as food for the animals. It helps to spruce up their fir and stops them pining for more.

The image of Santa Claus flying his sleigh began in 1819 and was created by Washington Irving, the same author who dreamt up the Headless Horseman. Santa keeps his sleigh under a Milwood carport? no really, he does!

Between the 16th and 19th centuries global temperatures were significant ly lower than normal in what was known as a ?lit t le ice age?. Charles Dickens grew up during this period and experienced snow for his first eight Christmases. This ?White Christmas? experience influenced his writ ing and began a tradit ion of expectat ion for the holidays. No matter how cold it gets this Christmas, you will be warm in a Milwood Glass Room.

SAY WHAT?! THE 12 (MILWOOD) FACTS OF CHRISTMAS
