Cutting DirectionsWOF = width of fabric from selvage to selvage. Remove as little fabric as possible when squaring strip ends.

24961 W - Bello Panel• Cut ¼" out from the side edges of the blue panel to approximately 22½" wide. Cut 40½" long, beginning ¼" below “Poopaye” at the bottom. Note: An exact width isn’t important. The panel will be framed and trimmed to size to fit the quilt center.

Rail UnitsNote: Use a ¼" seam allowance for all stitching.

1. Sew a 2" x WOF dark blue words strip lengthwise between (2) 1¼" x WOF white strips. Press seams toward the dark blue strip. Stitch a 2" x WOF yellow packed Minions strip to 1 long side and a 2" x WOF medium blue eyes strip to the opposite long side to complete (1) 6½" x WOF blue strip set. Press seams toward the yellow and medium blue strips. Repeat to make 11 strip sets total. Crosscut the strip sets into (2) 12½" blue long rail units and (62) 6½" blue short rail units.

2. Stitch a 2" x WOF yellow words strip lengthwise between (2) 1¼" x WOF white strips. Press seams toward the yellow strip. Sew a 2" x WOF yellow packed Minions strip to 1 long side and a 2" x WOF yellow eyes strip to the opposite long side to complete (1) 6½" x WOF yellow strip set. Press seams toward the yellow strips. Repeat to make 6 strip sets total. Crosscut the strip sets into (2) 12½" yellow long rail units and (32) 6½" yellow short rail units.

Quilt AssemblyRefer to the exploded quilt diagram as needed throughout the following steps.

1. Sew the 2" x 40½" white strips to the long sides of the panel. Press seams toward the panel. Trim the unit to 24½" wide, keeping the panel centered in the white strips. Stitch the 1½" x 24½" white strips to the top and bottom of the trimmed unit to complete the 24½" x 42½" panel center. Press seams toward the panel.

2. Side Sections. Referring to the exploded quilt diagram, arrange and join yellow and blue short rail units to make the 6½" x 42½" rows 1–3 on the left side of the panel center, turning every other unit in each row. Press seams up in rows 1 and 3 and down in row 2. Join the rows to complete the 18½" x 42½" left section. Press seams to the right. Repeat to make the right section, referring to the exploded quilt diagram for positioning of the rows.

3. Stitch the left and right sections to the long sides of the panel center to complete the 42½" x 60½" center section. Press seams toward the panel center.

4. Top and Bottom Sections. Referring to the exploded quilt diagram, arrange and join yellow and blue short rail units with a yellow long rail unit to make the 6½" x 60½" row 4, turning every other short unit. Press seams to the left. Repeat to make row 6 using a blue long unit. Arrange and join yellow and blue short rail units to make row 5. Press seams to the right. Join the rows to complete the 18½" x 60½" top section. Press seams to 1 side. Repeat to make the bottom section, referring to the exploded quilt diagram for positioning of the rows.

5. Sew the top and bottom sections to the top and bottom of the center section to complete the 60½" x 78½" quilt center. Press seams toward the top and bottom sections.

6. Stitch the 1½" x WOF white tonal strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into 2 each 78½" and 62½" strips. Sew the longer strips to the long sides of the quilt center and the shorter strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the strips.

7. Repeat step 6 with the 3" x WOF yellow eyes strips, cutting 2 each 80½" and 67½" strips.

8. Repeat step 6 with the 4½" x WOF blue Minions toss strips to complete the quilt top, cutting 2 each 85½" and 75½" strips.

9. Remove the selvage edges from the backing pieces. Join the pieces on the long edges with a ½" seam allowance. Press seam open. Trim the edges to make an 83" x 101" backing piece.

10. Layer the top with the backing and an 83" x 101" batting piece. Quilt as desired. Trim edges even with the top.

11. Prepare yellow eyes binding and bind edges using your favorite method to complete the quilt.
