MILLHILL CORPORATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES

MILLHILL FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS

April 20, 2015 Dear Millhill Supporters,

I am pleased to share with you our annual report that reflects highlights and

accomplishments of the past year. This annual report demonstrates our

commitment to meeting the demand and growing need for services in the

Greater Trenton community. With the help of our supporters and partners, Millhill has grown into a thriving

community-centered organization that serves more than 3,500 families

annually. Our programs are fostered through collaborations with our Trenton

Area Stakeholders program, individual support, business partnerships, and our

annual event. This year, Millhill will celebrate the opening of our new behavioral health

expansion facility on Prospect Street which will address the growing need for

mental health services. The new counseling center will allow us to double our

current capacity and enable us to serve 400 children and families each week and

also expand our services to include partial care and substance abuse counseling.

I invite you to join us in support of our mission to empower children and families

by visiting Millhill, volunteering or making a donation. Our children, families,

staff and board are grateful for your support!Sincerely,

Cynthia H. OberkoflerExecutive Director

Millhill’s MissionMillhill empowers children and families through individualized and culturally-sensitive educational and behavioral health services.

In 1971, Millhill was created to provide daytime care and specialized support for twelve abused infants placed under the protective services of the Department of Children and Families. Through our nurturing, individualized and consistent care, the babies stabilized, caught up to their peers, and began to establish positive emotional interaction as their norm. Through the years, we listened carefully, built our inherent strengths in response to emergent client needs, and grew into the thriving com-munity centered organization. Today, Millhill serves more than 3,500 children of all ages, their parents and guardians through educa-tional, counseling and family support services.

Our Vision To transform our community

Millhill serves more than 3,500 families in Greater Trenton through programs that educate, empower, and transform.

In a single year, Millhill tripled the number of children, adolescents, and families that receive our counseling services.

Every single Millhill PEER Educator graduated from high school on time and has gone on to higher education programs.

Children who attend the Millhill Preschool Program perform better on standardized testing through the fourth grade.

100% of the children who attend Camp RISE, Millhill’s Summer Literacy Camp, either maintain or improve their reading level.

87% of youth in Millhill’s outpatient counseling show improvement in school functioning, as measured by teacher reports and report cards.

Children who received developmental testing through Millhill’s Medical Home Link are more likely to succeed in Kindergarten.

Trenton PEERS reach over 2,000 adolescents per year with their presentations about issues that teens in the Trenton area face every day.

90% of donations to Millhill go directly to programming.

With the support of the Millhill Trenton PEERS, Magdalena Stankowska began at Princeton University last Fall on a full scholarship.

92% of youth in Millhill’s outpatient counseling show improvement in emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functioning as reported by parents and schools.

Of the families enrolled in Millhill’s Family Assessment and Support Program, 99% had a decrease in calls to the Child Abuse Hotline.

87% of parents in our Family Support Program reached the goals they set with their social worker.

Millhill helped stabilize placement for 81% of the children in their care that have been placed in foster homes or with relatives. This means that these children will have more stability and will not be moved from placement to placement.

Program Highlights and Impact

Trenton Area Stakeholders (TAS) is comprised primarily of leaders from organizations throughout Mercer County that provide an array of services and are committed to improving the lives of underserved youth and families. There are more than 600 TAS members that represent more than 240 organizations in Mercer County and throughout the state.
