Residents enjoy first Christmas at Millbrook Village

We were thrilled towelcome our first

residents to Millbrook Villagein early December. Christmas2014 was the village’s firstChristmas, with severalresidents able to enjoy thefestive season and celebratethe start of 2015 in their newhome.

Mr Keatt, who moved intohis three-bedroom cottage atthe end of November just as

the festive season was gettingunderway commented: “Itwas lovely to spend

Christmas in my new homeand have my family come tovisit. I’ve already made goodfriends with my neighboursand the location of thevillage, close to the citycentre, is ideal. I also enjoyedattending the festive ‘Mingleand Jingle’ event in earlyDecember, which wasorganised by the MillbrookVillage team and was a lovelyopportunity to get together.”

On a crisp winterafternoon in

December theMillbrook Village teamhosted a festive Mingleand Jingle for residentsand prospective buyers.Visitors were invited toenjoy delicious homemade mince pies andmulled wine while theytried their hand at a varietyof activities, includingcreative gift-wrapping andtruffle making.

Resident-to-be, MrsValerie Norris, who hasreserved an apartment atMillbrook Village, and herfriend Linda Wilkinson camealong and kindly gave up theirtime to demonstrate how tomake beautiful floral tabledecorations for Christmas,which guests were able totake home with them.

The Marketing Suite wasabuzz with activity allafternoon and the masterclasses proved very popular,as did the Devon Wildlife

Trust stand, where guestswere able to learn aboutlooking after wildlife thiswinter and see how to make awinter bird feeder.

The event was a real hitwith both guests and staff,giving prospective buyers a

taste of what community life islike at Millbrook Village – withlike-minded people comingtogether to have fun andshare good times. We’d liketo thank everybody who camealong and helped to make itsuch an enjoyable experience.

As expected, a huge number ofpeople attended the long-

awaited launch event and the threeshow homes proved so popular thatsix similar homes were snapped upimmediately.

The show homes are eachdesigned to reflect differentdecorative styles and options and wewere thrilled thateveryone was soenthusiastic about theinteriors. We receivedlots of positivecomments about thehigh quality finish andtasteful, contemporarydesign. Many peoplewere also interested tofind out more about our

Located close to Millbrook Village onthe banks of the River Exe, the Old

Sludge Beds may not have the mostpicturesque name, however, with its reedbeds, woodland and ponds it is a vitalplace for some wonderful wildlifeincluding otters, warblers, dragonflies andbats.

The Old Sludge Beds reserve is open365 days a year and is free to enter, so we

hope you will enjoy visiting it once theweather warms up.
