Hermetically Sealed Connectors

Sealtron’s 6500/6600 series connectorsmeet or exceed the requirements ofMIL-DTL-83723 and the applicableslash sheets. MIL-DTL-83723 series IIIis an upgrading of the MIL-C-26500connectors and better defining the mate-rials, specified contacts and plating forthe hermetic class connector. TheM83723 and MIL-DTL-26500 connec-tors have the same mounting dimensionsand are intermateable.

Improvements made in the design speci-fications are gold plated solder or flex-tape contacts and shell materials of tinplated ferrous alloy for soldering or pas-sivated stainless steel for welding proce-dures. Other plating combinations andcontact designs are available uponrequest. The interfacial seals have raisedbarriers around each contact (cork-and-bottle design). These raised barrierscompress into the depressions on the faceof the female insert and provide a superi-or moisture barrier.
