Coach Joel DePagter just completed

his seventh season as head coach.

DePagter has guided the Vikings to 2

Midwest Conference Championships,

a pair of Midwest Conference Tourna-

ment Championships, and 2 NCAA

National Tournament appearances. Since his arrival as

an assistant in 2003, the Vikings have played in the

NCAA National Tournament 5 times. A 1998 graduate

of Lawrence, “JoJo” led the Vikings to a 22-3 record, a

1997 MWC Championship, and the school’s first-ever

NCAA Division III Tournament appearance. DePagter is

the only man in the history of the Midwest Conference to

be named Player of the Year (1997) and Coach of the

Year (2009). He holds the Lawrence Basketball career

records in assists and steals, and was inducted into the

Lawrence University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.

To become a successful basketball player, you must not only

learn to play, but HOW to play, which young men are often

forgetting about in the AAU-based world we live in. This is

what we teach our players at Lawrence University, and is

what we will teach every camper at our camps. It is our

privilege to spend time working with your son, giving him the

best possible basketball experience we can provide. Thank

This ONE-DAY camp is for serious High

School players who desire to play in college.

Campers will go through college-like drills

and practice, and play full-court games

against other campers for evaluation.

-Open to boys entering 10-12th grade (Fall of 2014)

-Instruction from college coaches/players

-Organized competition with local players

-See Lawrence University facilities and meet coaches

-OPTIONAL tour of Lawrence University Campus

-$35 player ($30 if sign up with high school teammate)

*This camp will be capped at 25 players

to make sure we have a very low player-

coach ratio and each camper gets a

great deal of individual instruction. They

will basically go through a college prac-

tice, and then have some full-court

games for evaluation (some with NCAA

35-second shot clock).
