This section provides an overview of the purpose, scope and objectives of the
system, the assumptions, constraints and risk of the system, a list of project
deliverables, the schedule and budget summary, the evolution of the plan, the
references and the definitions and acronyms.
1.1 Purpose, Scope, and Objectives
Purpose:The proposed project entitled “LAN-Based Student Faculty Evaluation System
for Our Lady of Fatima University” is all about how the students will evaluate their
professor by using the computer. The LAN-Based Student Faculty Evaluation System
for Our Lady of Fatima University will give the school and the student an easy way in
evaluating the faculty members within the school facilities. All the information given
by the students will be threatened with utmost confidentiality. Faculty Evaluations
are helpful to the faculty in improving their teaching and their courses.
Scope:
The proposed system is intend for in depth evaluation of the existing manual
procedure of student evaluation of our lady of fatima university. the proponents will
develop a user-friendly system that will enhance the student faculty evaluation.
For the students will include:
Easy browsing access to each Faculty Member
Grading Sheet that will be check to represent evaluation
One click system that everyone can use with ease
LAN based feature to easily transfer data faster.
The positive and negative comments will type.
For administrator will include:
Quick tabulation of Evaluation results
They can view all the tally result.
They can print the total percentage of all the evaluation.
Can add to all records.
The guidance can choose comments before they print the final result.
Objectives:
The main objective of the study is to have an easy way in evaluating the
professors and it is also a big help for the guidance councilor because it will lessen
![Page 3: midterm files1](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022080209/551d8cf34979594b198b4be2/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
their efforts in counting the evaluation form. This study shall view primarily as
development activity essential to providing the faculty with information needed to
improve the quality of service. The guidance will get some opinion in the students on
how the professor teaches.
1.2 .Assumptions, Constraints and Risk
The proponents constraints to develop a system which help the our lady of fatima
university to implement the needs of the user.
The proponets constraints to develope LAN-Based Student Faculty Evaluation
System for Our Lady of Fatima University to provide data for the improvement of
teaching and learning.
Provide security in handling and managing records and to minimize the time
being spent in tallying the summary reports being submitted.
The proponents develop Student Faculty Evaluation System for Our Lady of
Fatima University to have an easy way in evaluating the faculty members within
the school facilities.
The following risks in developing the proposed system are:
a. In quality, the proposed system has a limit that cannot be implemented by
the proponents.
b. In schedule, the proponents’ does not have enough instances to accomplish
the proposed system within the given time.
c. In budget and resources, the proposed system will need to have hardware
resources such as computer, hub, cables and RJ45 connector and software
resources such as Windows XP and PHP with MySQL.
The proponents proposed system will provide a (Local Area Network) LAN-Based
feature to easily share information accurately and it also transfer data faster.

computer, hub, cables and RJ45 connector and software resources such as Windows
XP and PHP with MySQL. The proponents proposed a new technology which is the
network based.
3.1.5. Project Staff Training
The existing guidance personel of our lady of fatima university will undergo
training within 2 to 3 months. The training should focus on php,Mysql and xampp
version 2.2.1.4.php used in the major parts of the encoding te system and mysql
used as the databased.Upon beginning the project, all existing guidance personnel
will attend a seminar about the technology that will be used in the our lady of
Fatima university for 2 to 3 months. The Head of the guidance will also be required
to train.
3.2. Work Plan
To gather the necessary data and information needed in the study, the
group used developmental type of research, which uses the following
methods:
a.Interview. The researchers interviewed the our lady of fatima
university guidance department Mr.Azor on howthey conduct a student
faculty evaluation and also with regards to the summary report.
b. Document Analysis. The group gathered the forms used in their
Manual Project Student Faculty Evakuation System to collect some
important information needed in developing the new system(LAN-
based student Facluty Evaluation system.
c.Research. To better understand the scope and background of the
existing system, the group conducted a research using the internet.
Related information about the existing system was gathered to
conceptualize the new system.
