Every Saturday morning there is a farmer’s market in Dungun. The market place is a large empty field next to a school. From 7 a.m. farmer around Dungun bring their vegetables and fruits to sell. There are also a few stalls selling cakes. Many housewives buy their vegetables at this market because they are cheaper and fresher. Sometimes even fish, meat and eggs are sold. By 11 a.m. most of the vegetables are sold. One by one the farmers close their stalls and go home. The vegetables which are left are sold very cheaply.
