1. INTRODUCTION
This is the final report in fulfilment of the reporting requirements for funding assistance under Collaborative Drilling Initiative 028 (CDI028).
CDI028 is the funding deed between the tenement holder Superior Resources Limited (ASX code SPQ) and the Queensland Government Department of Mines and Energy. The funding was for half of the direct drilling costs of a program to test an electromagnetic (EM) anomaly at the Rundle Prospect within Exploration Permit for Minerals (EPM) 15040, “Sulieman Creek” in north west Queensland.
The drilling target was an anomaly located by an airborne EM (Geotem) survey completed during previous exploration of the area by BHP (now BHP Billiton). The EM anomaly is very intense and modelling indicated that the anomaly could be the response from a shallow and flat-lying conductive source. There is no outcrop in the area of the anomaly.
The prospect is located at 340600 mE, 7582400 mN, Map Grid of Australia Zone 54, approximately 20km south southwest of Dajarra. It lies in the Urandangi (SF5405) 1:250,000 scale and Ardmore (6754) 1:100,000 scale map sheets.
As originally proposed the program comprised four vertical drill holes each to a depth of 100m. This was amended to a program of three drill holes on the basis of the results obtained as drilling progressed. Information from the geology of the material intersected in the three holes was considered as having sufficiently determined an explanation for the EM anomaly.
The drilling at the Rundle Prospect was completed as part of a larger program undertaken by the company to drill test targets at several prospects within the Dajarra Project. This program utilised the same drilling equipment and field personnel and was conducted during late November to mid December 2007.
2. RUNDLE PROSPECT DRILLING PROGRAM
The Rundle Prospect, lies within EPM15040 “ Sulieman Creek” which is located approximately 120km south of Mount Isa in north west Queensland.
The EM anomaly at Rundle Prospect, situated close to the Rundle Yards, was located by an airborne EM survey completed by BHP. BHP also completed ground EM over this anomaly but did not drill the anomaly. BHP considered that the EM anomaly displayed IP effects. Field reconnaissance of the anomaly by Superior indicated that there is no outcrop in the area of the anomaly.
SPQ contracted Geotech Airborne Pty Ltd (Geotech), of Malaga WA, to complete heliborne electromagnetic (EM) surveys of the more prospective parts of the Dajarra Project area using Geotech’s advanced Versatile Time-Domain Electromagnetics (VTEM) system The surveys were completed in August 2007. A total of 1025km of surveying was completed.
Final data from the VTEM survey was received in November 2007. Superior acquired specialized software to initially model the VTEM results which essentially interprets the conductivity at various depths at each point along a survey line. The resulting interpreted depth conductivities are then combined to provide an interpreted cross section of conductivities along a flight line. SPQ has further processed the data using commercial available geophysical software gridding the interpreted conductivity information to produce cross sectional images along each flight line. Superior as a final process then converts the data into a form that can be used to interpret the results by producing series of stacked cross sections by combining the cross sectional images from adjacent surveyed flight lines.

The Rundle Prospect EM anomaly was flown by VTEM at a line spacing of 200m as a part of survey area Block B. The resulting VTEM anomaly showed a very strong response in the early channels and the response persisted to the later channels. Modelling of the anomaly indicated that the source of the anomaly was likely a shallow flat-lying conductive zone. However because of the strength of the anomaly four drill holes were proposed to test the anomaly.
Three vertical reverse circulation percussion drill holes, RU001 to RU003, were completed for a total of 231m from 25 November 2007 to 30 November 2007. Drilling was carried out by contractor Drill Torque Queensland of Townsville using an TD375 drilling machine and support equipment including an auxiliary booster compressor. On site program management and drilling supervision was undertaken by Terra Search Pty Ltd of Townsville.
All hole location details were obtained by survey using DGPS instrumentation by Terra Search.

The drilling program was supervised on site by Terra Search Principle Geologist R.H. Lesh. Details of all drill holes were recorded to allow data to be captured digitally in Explorer 3 database format.
The standard procedures followed during sampling and logging of percussion drill holes included :
All material returned to surface from the drill equipment collected and bagged with material sampled at 1m intervals over the entire length of the hole commencing from 0m at the hole collar at surface level.
Sieved and washed chips from each 1m interval stored in 20 compartment plastic tray containers which are marked permanently with drill hole identification, number and depth intervals. Chips are selected to be representative of each individual 1m interval and are collected to be used in geological logging and provides a method of retaining a reference and permanent record of material intersected in the drill hole.
Samples to be submitted for geochemical analysis are collected consecutively over 2m intervals over the entire length of the drill hole commencing from 0m. Assay samples comprise a 1-2 kg sub-sample obtained as a composite by splitting approximately equal amounts from each of the adjacent 1m interval of bagged sample.
All samples for geochemical analysis are consecutively numbered in sequence. Quality control standard samples are inserted in the sample number sequence as the next sample number immediately after the last sample at the end of each hole. Duplicate samples are collected at nominally 30m intervals from the start of sampling in each hole and consecutively numbered in the sample sequence. Insertion of duplicate and standard control samples provide external additional quality assurance control to the quality assurance provided by the analytical laboratory for each sample batch submitted.
All samples were submitted to ALS-Chemex, Mount Isa, for sample preparation, pulverising and splitting prior to analysis for a 33 multi-element suite using the Induced Coupled Plasma method of analysis, laboratory method code ME-ICP41s, and gold by fire assay, using a 50g charge, laboratory method code Au-AA26.

Logging of holes is based on the Terra Search Explorer 3 system. This method documents quantifiable geology at 1m intervals. Factual geological features including colour, oxidation state, grain size, texture, alteration and rock mineralogy are recorded. Descriptive and interpreted geology is also documented over the broader intervals of each lithology intersected. Other discrete features captured in the logging include the levels at which the base of complete and partial oxidation occur, water table information, depth of transported cover etc.
The lower and upper detection limits for the element analysed by the two method are listed below. Units are in ppm unless indicated.

Drilling intersected a shallow clay rich zone which was consistent with the EM modelling interpretation. The holes intersected approximately 20m of strongly weathered rock containing abundant clay and iron oxides over weathered to fresh mafic volcanics. Summary geology logs are provided in Appendix 1 and collar, survey, geology and assay records in Appendix 4.
Recently received assay results from the drilling indicate that the area contains weakly anomalous copper and zinc values up to 591 ppm Cu and 374 ppm Zn over 2m. A summary of the best geochemical intersection in each drill hole are provided in the summary reports included with Appendix 1. The logged quantifiable geological and geophysical attributes along with select geochemical analysis are presented in graphical log format in Appendix 2. Detailed geochemical analysis are listed in Appendix 4.
4. CONCLUSSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The drilling program at Rundle Prospect has met all of the projects requirements satisfying the aims and objectives as initially proposed.
The drilling intersected a zone of strongly weathered rock containing abundant clay and iron oxides over a width of approximately 20m overlying fresh mafic volcanics. This is consistentwith the shallow flat lying conductive zone modelled from the VTEM survey data at the Rundle Prospect.
It is concluded that the drilling intersected the source of the EM anomaly and since there is no indications of any large sulphide mineralisation system it is recommend that no further work be undertaken.
