JOB TITLE: DINING HALL SUPERVISOR
RESPONSIBLE TO: SCR/DINING HALL STEWARD
QUALIFICATIONS: BASIC FOOD AND HYGIENE CERTIFICATE (TO BE OBTAINED)
HOURS PER WEEK 40 PER WEEK. SHIFTS TO VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS
OUTLINE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the team of waiters/waitresses on student dinners, banquets and functions and understand the special diets of each individual. Maintain professional standards and comply with the College Health and Safety policy.
Maintain high standards of dress codes and discipline; act with tact and diplomacy.
Maintain tradition and discipline in the Dining Hall during term time under the direction of the Dean and with help of the Junior Deans.
Be responsible for the operation of the computer system for Graduates and Under Graduates taking formal Hall during term time.
Provide a high standard of service as directed by the SCR/Dining Hall Steward. Duties to include organising the set-up of student meals, functions and banquets in various areas of the College.
Monitor and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness and ensure staff adhere to cleaning rosters.
On late functions, e.g student dinners and banquets, be responsible for the security and securing all catering areas.
Food and wine service for the High Table and understand the special diets of each individual.
Be responsible for additional daily tasks. Set-up as required by the Steward/Assistant SCR Steward.
Undertake further training as required by Trinity College.
