Innovation Incubation-Overview
� I3 objective is to identify, develop and fund high impact innovators in the ECOWAS region. The initiative is designed to develop and administer:� A permanent business incubation program and facility, to be
known as IDEAS LAB� A pool of investible equity fund to support ideas emerging from
the IDEAS LAB to be known as The EDGE Fund : Entrepreneurship Development and Growth Equity FundEntrepreneurship Development and Growth Equity Fund
� The IDEAS LAB is designed to:� Provide crucial pre-business formation training (to those that do
not have it)� Provide valuable facility to mentor and encourage collaborative
business idea formation � Provide seed capital in forms of direct loans matched with
equity and/or convertible loans
