Templates: File > NewBlank Workbooks…

A Workbook is a spreadsheet you edit in MS Excel

A Worksheet is a single “page” of a Workbook

Open Existing Workbook: File > Open

Save Workbook: File > SavePrinting: File>Print

Tabs File (save & print) Home (common formatting) Insert (adding Charts, Pictures, etc.) Page Layout (set how it prints) Formulas (math functions) Data (managing information in cells)

Review (Spell Check and Translation) View (how the spreadsheet looks)

Parts of a Spreadsheet

Cells: individual segments of informationRows: horizontal strips of cells (unlimited)Columns: vertical strips of cells (unlimited)

Sort Data Sort (Data>Sort)

Select Your Data (highlight cells) Alphabetically By Number

Formulas Many, Many, Many For Example…

Select the Cells you want to add

=SUM(A1:A15) Averages Difference Numerical Sequence/Count
