APPLICATIONThe unit is designed for pressure testing closed systems and can be supplied suitable for a range of fuids including oil, water, glycol and “skydrol” phosphate ester.Because of our use of soft seat inlet check and releasevalves, together with the poppet outlet check valve, the unit is suitable for hydraulic fuids including low viscosity types such as water-in-oil emulsions and offshore control liquids. Standard seals are ptfe, uhmwp and nitrile rubber. Consult factory for special seal requirements for other fluids.

MATERIALSThe unit is offered either in anodised alloy/ stainless steelwetted parts and a carbon steel mechanism or 316 stainless and bronze. The MP-A unit is anodised alloy 6082T6 BS1474, a stainless steel 316 liner and piston rod plus small amounts of stainless 302/303/304/420/431. The MP-3 unit is 316 stainless steel, bronze CW307G and small amounts of stainless 302/303/304/420/431.

DISPLACEMENTThe unit is available in five displacement / pressure ratings, 7cc/700 bar, 12cc/407 bar, 25cc/207 bar, 50cc/102 bar and 100cc/50 bar. Each unit will as standard come with a gauge suitable for the maximum pressure and a relief valve set at this working pressure. We can fit alternate gauge ranges and set relief valves as required.

CONNECTIONSThe unit has a 1/4”-BSP male thread on the outlet port. Make connection to this port with appropriate hose. Where applicable, the auxiliary port will be plugged or fitted with the appropriate pressure gauge.The gauge port is G1/4(BS2779) flat bottom and a 63mm

COMMISSIONING Operate the hand pump and pressurise to maximum pressure. Check for leaks in the system. Set the relief valve as required. If fitted, it is set at maximum working pressure.

MAINTENANCEThe inlet and outlet check valves are easily servicedand use replaceable seats. Seals are replaced usingstandard tools. Service kits are available. A service kitincludes all seats, springs, seals and balls.

SAFETYThis pump is a component forming part of a hydraulicpressure system. The system should be designed , operated and maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and other relevant instructions.

For special options, please consult factory. Gauge, release valve and relief valve are set to the maximum working pressure of the pump as standard. Note that 10/20/50 litre trolley units will use a pump in your specifed material plus a trolley in stainless 316 as standard.
