General
The 2nd BTS (Base Transceiver System) Breaker kit makes it possible to extend the
MicroPower Outdoor System with an additional double pole 16A load breaker. Installation
must be done by authorized personnel only.
Eltek Energy recommends that the system is powered down before installation of the kit.
Recommended tools
Standard equipment used by an authorized electrician. NOTE: All tools must be insulated.
Torque settings
All terminals on the BTS breaker (CBI) must be tightened with 3.0Nm.

Installation
Step Description Comment OK
1 The mains input must be
turned off during theinstallation.
Turn off the battery
breaker.
Turn OFF the external mains input breaker!
2 Remove the End Stops on
the left and right hand
side of the BTS load
breaker F1/terminal
blocks. The load cable
labeled –F1 and the
copper link on top of F1have to be removed too.
Remove the 2 position
inter link in the middle of
the terminal blocks.

3 Mount the second BTS
breaker to the left side of
F1. Mount the extra
terminal block on the
right hand side of the
existing ones. Lock allcomponents with the End
Stops removed before.
Remount the load cable
with the new 4 position
copper link on top of F1
and F2.
Mount the new 4 position
inter link in the middle of
the terminal blocks (Cut
off one position if only 3
terminal blocks are used).Mount the copper link at
the bottom of the new
BTS breaker if the
breaker must be parallel
connected for maximum
32A load.
4 Remove 2 of the
appropriate size knock-
outs to accommodate the
supplied cable glands.
Refer to the Installation
Guide MicroPower
Outdoor System (Art. No.
351433.033) for an
overview of knock-outs in
the cabinet base.
Put a flat screw driver
between the 2 tags that
support the disc. Give the
top of the screw driver aknock with a hammer.
Put the screw driver to the
other side between the
tags and knock again.
Start knocking cautiously
and gradually increase the
force. Repeat the
knocking until the tags are
so fatigued that the disc
drops out.

5 Mount the cable glands in
the openings. Run cables
from the new BTS load
breaker F2 (-48V) and the
new terminal blocks (0V)
through the cable glandsto the BTS.
6 The 2nd BTS Breaker Kit
has now been installed.
Turn on both BTS
breakers (F1 and F2) and the battery breaker (Fb1).
Start up the system by
turning on the external
AC breaker.
