the remarkable.
PRESENTATION OVERVIEW – Why Only Best Practice Makes Perfect!
The need to demonstrate quality and professionalism within financial services has never been greater. Amid the
current plethora of qualifications and achievements quietly sit BS 8577:2012 and ISO 22222:2005, the only British
and international professional quality standards for personal financial planning.
ISO and BS standards are more commonly known within the general business market: standards such as
ISO 9001 – the quality management standard and ISO 27001 – the information security standard may be familiar
to many. The fact is that quality standards have been around for hundreds of years, and they are here to stay.
Due to the changing landscape there has never been a better time for financial planners and their organisations to
raise their game and increase their professional standing by achieving certification to the standards that will be
instrumental in changing the face of good-quality financial advice and planning services in the UK and throughout
the world.
Financial Services is changing and there has never been a better time to create a quality centered culture built on
international and British best practice standards. To support this change, Michelle will introduce the concept and
content of The Operations Management System™ – a solution which she has created which contains numerous
operational guidelines, process maps and supporting document templates. For many advisers and planners
throughout the world, this unique solution has provided an invaluable framework, allowing them to be free from the
day-to-day workings of ‘the office’ while their team and their business deliver consistent and high levels of client
service.
IDEAS TO TAKE AWAY AND IMPLEMENT
In either a 60- or 90-minute presentation, Michelle’s ideas promise to be to the point, easy to understand and, most
importantly, easy to explain to an adviser’s or planner’s own support person and/or team. If they are to be successful
in engaging their team’s help to implement the ideas effectively and make appropriate changes, this will prove
invaluable.
All attendees will take away a valuable insight and thorough understanding of:
1. BS 8577 Framework for the provision of financial advice and planning services
2. ISO 22222 Personal financial planning – Requirements for personal financial planners
3. Why client care should be at the heart of every activity, and the benefits of certification to clients – both new and
existing
4. The benefits for firms and planners in achieving BS 8577 and ISO 22222
5. An understanding of how to achieve certification and the costs involved.
Once each of the above areas has been understood and shared with their support person and/or team, firms and
their planners will be rewarded with the following:
1. A greater appreciation of the importance of creating and embedding a ‘quality culture’ throughout the
organisation
2. The framework on which to build a solid and scalable business model – a model that’s fit for future growth and
opportunity
3. A different perspective on what it takes to run a business founded on continual improvement and best practice.
