She is enthusiastic about guilt-free eating, whole person care, and nourishing food. Her main interest is in helping people to love food, their bodies, and themselves. With advanced training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, Michaela takes a wholistic approach to health and wellbeing. Coupled with her certification as a LEAP Therapist, Michaela specializes in food sensitivities and in healing the body from inflammation. Having recovered from an eating disorder, Michaela is able to connect with clients struggling with disordered eating and bring them to a place of freedom and wellbeing. She hosts the Nutritionally Speaking podcast to broadcast the truth about nutrition and interview experts in the field. Her blog features plant-based recipes, intuitive and mindful eating, and diet-free living. In 2016, Michaela launched Nibblee Bits, a grain-free, paleo and vegan cookie mix to make healthy baking fun, easy and tasty too! Michaela graduated summa cum laude from Loma Linda University with a Masters and Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and has clinical experience working at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and Huntington Memorial Hospital. Michaela lives in Los Angeles with her husband where she enjoys ballet, CrossFit, learning languages and painting.
