Michael Jackson, 50 of Gary, Indiana died Thursday in
Los Angeles, California. Collapsed at his Holmby Hills residence,
resuscitation attempts by Michael’s personal physician
were unsuccessful. The main cause of death was cardiac arrest.
Michael Jackson, a devoted father of Prince Michael Jr.,
Paris Michael Katherine, and Prince Michael II,
was the seventh child of Joseph and Katherine Jackson,
his five brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Randy;
his three sisters LaToya, Rebbie, and Janet; his employees,
his bodyguards, and many other devoted fans.
Michael was a 1988 graduate of Fisk University and spent most
of his adult life working as a singer, actor, songwriter, and dancer.
Michael also occasionally worked as a philanthropist and
it is reported that he helped many charities. Up until the time
of his death, Michael was entertaining the world with
music and dance, helping many sick children, touching lives
with his music, and fights for freedom.
Michael was noted for helping MTV pave its way with gold,
breaking down racial barriers and upholding the honor and dignity
of Black art as a solo artist, and maintain his crown as the King of Pop.
On the day before his death, he was planning a comeback tour in London.
The body was finally buried in a concrete grave which was donated
by Michael Jackson’s Estate, approved by the court judge. By order
of the family estate, the burial of Jackson was out in full
protection from grave robbers.
With the giving of flowers and other act of kindness, the family
of Michael Jackson requested that everyone try to live on
by maintaining a testament to the man’s legacy that was
only strengthened by his death.
