This video, to me is one of the most appealing videos that I have yet seen, I took a particular interest in this video because of the fact it is a Michael Jackson song, and I love his work and music. This is one of the longest running music videos around, being mini horror movie at around about 14 minutes long. The recording sessions for this video started in April and were not completed until around about November. There is an incredible amount of dancing involved throughout the video and is certainly a feet tapping song. The video is based around a film which a couple have just watched coming to life and the young girl living the experience of the film, there are dance routines flicking in and out throughout the whole video. At the end the young girl finds it all to be a dream, as we think the video is about to end Jackson’s eyes turn yellow, suggesting that actually she may not have been dreaming. To me this video is a masterpiece, its not one of these love songs with lots of posing throughout the video, but it is an action packed, eye popping and extremely successful video. The cuts are flicking from different scenes in time with the beat of the song and in my opinion is a great video to watch as the costumes, dancing, singing and the mini-movie draw you in more than you realise. Another Michael Jackson classic!
