• Created a generalizable, novel and fast approach that aggregates ICD-9 codes, processing hundreds of millions of records in a few minutes.

Detecting fraudulent invoicing, errors resulting in duplicate payments and wasteful purchasing behavior is necessary to avoid loss of revenue. Challenges Traditional approaches apply rules to filter and flag transactions that resemble prior fraudulent or wasteful activity and fail to identify new anomalies Tracking activity is difficult due to large number of transactions and variety of vendors

• Build approaches to use fuzzy string matching for smarter detection of duplicate invoicing or entries

• Identify related vendor networks (e.g. company acquisitions) to build invoicing baseline behavior for anomaly detection
