The Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor (EFS) system was used to determine the presence of growing cracks post repairs at selected locations in Spans 1 and 2. A total of 9 locations will have been interrogated, representing two different repair scenarios, at the completion of three inspections. All the inspection locations were chosen in collaboration with VDOT and MFS. The Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor-based RetroChek system was used in a follow up inspection to one which was executed with a similar system back in 2008, indicating active fatigue crack growth and microplasticity immediately following the retrofit contract execution. The 2014 inspection occurred after another repair contract was completed to further repair areas of active crack growth. Overall Conclusions and Findings Locations 1 and 2 were at the 3 rd Beam from West at the 1 st Diaphragm from the North on the Downstream or West Web Face, while Location 3 was at the 4th Beam from West at the1 st Diaphragm from the South on the Upstream or East Web Face. There were no visible cracks at any of the locations but at Location 3 there were two drill stops side by side at a potential stress riser to evaluate. Results from the RetroChek inspection indicate that additional repairs to the fatigue cracking areas have been successful in halting further propagation of the cracks during ambient loading. The EFS inspection was successful in collecting data used to determine the crack
