Soon, some commercial airlines will stop handing out immigration forms prior to your arrival in Cancun. Complete the form(s) online prior to departure to expedite the immigration process when you arrive in Cancun. You can only complete the form(s) within 30 days of departure. A separate form must be completed for every person traveling regardless of age.

HOW IT WORKS:

Visit this link: www.cancunairport.com/tourist-card.html. You will be asked to complete the following:

•Your contact information •Passport number •Full name of hotel or address in Cancun •Flight number •Your email address (for the tourist card to be sent)

There are two parts of this new online immigration form for Cancun: the entry form and the exit form. After you have completed and submitted your information, you’ll receive your tourist cards via email, fully completed with the information you entered online.

You must have access to a printer to print the tourist card(s) sent back to you via email. The tourist card is per person regardless of age and how long you will stay in Cancun. The information you provide is kept by the Mexican Immigration Authority as an official record of your visit to Cancun.

Upon arrival at the Immigration booth in Cancun, present your printed Tourist Card and your passport. The Immigration Officer will keep the ENTRY part of your form, and will stamp and return to you the EXIT part of the form. Be sure to keep the EXIT form in a safe place as you must present it at the airport upon your return home.
