Next weeks focus is - Making good choices in learning.
Woolworths Earn & Learn 2019
Woolworths Earn & Learn is back and it is now easier than ever to earn valu-
able equipment for our school. It's simple to participate. From Wednesday
1st May to Tuesday 25th June 2019 or while stock lasts, when you shop at
Woolworths you can collect Woolworths Earn & Learn Stickers from the
checkout operator, via team members at the self service checkout or
through an online order and place them on a Woolworths Earn & Learn
Sticker Sheet. There will be one Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker for every
$10 spent (excluding liquor, tobacco, and gift cards). Once completed,
simply place the Sticker Sheet in the Collection Box,
either at our school or at your local Woolworths.

Foyer Displays
1P loved making mini Beasts out of fresh fruit and vegetables! Look at our clever creations.
Did you know there are lots of ways to mix colours to make brown? 1P do. We mixed our
colours to paint our snail shells brown and then created texture and pattern by adding
sand to the shells.
3M & 3/4N looked at different ANZAC symbols. We then drew silhouettes of these
symbols. Red poppies were used to surround the silhouettes which
represented the soldiers who had fallen. We also used white poppies to represent the
nurses who served during war time. Purple poppies represented all the animals who went
to war.
Soccer Gala Day
Fourteen boys in year 3-6 represented Metford PS at a soccer gala day knockout on Friday 10th May 2019. We played
Ashtonfield in our first game, losing 10-0. In our second game against Tenambit we went down 4-3. The boys showed great en-
thusiasm and spirit as they represented our school with pride.
