(ElectSolve)
Meter Data Management City Of Georgetown (TEXAS) deployed the nation’s first AMR/MDM
system for both electric and water meters in the mid ‘90s.
The original ElectSolve MDM is being upgraded to ElectSolve’s uCentra Operational Data Management System (ODMS) to maximize business operations with easy access to critical meter and utility system data from operational systems: AMI (Advance Meter
Infrastructure) AMR (Automated Meter
Reads) CIS (Customer Information
System) SCADA (Supervisory Control
and Data Acquisition) OMS (Outage
Management System) GIS (Geographic
Information System).

Ø Peak demand for treated water is at capacity (2008)
§ Current capacity is 27 million gallons per day (MGD)
§ Average day demand for 2008 was 10 MGD
§ Peak demand for 2008 was 28 MGD
Ø Peak demand is caused by landscape irrigation
Data collected Ø Daily water usage Ø Monthly water usage Ø Historical water usage Ø Irrigation area (GIS) Ø Irrigation controller settings

With AquaAlerts, the customers decide the amount of water use after which they will be alerted. For instance if they wish to be e-mailed after they have used 10,000 gallons of water in a single billing month> Once they use 10,000 gallons, they will be alert with a e-mail letting them know.
