Release your creativity & make a unique metal leaf masterpiece!

X-Press It Metal leaf is fun & easy to apply to variety of surfaces. Ideal for craft and DIY projects, there are three different colours available in the range: Gold Metal Leaf – Made from a combination of zinc, brass & copperSilver Metal Leaf – Made from 100% aluminiumCopper Metal Leaf – Made from 100% copper

Step 1: Apply different colours of paint in layers on your canvas and allow to completely dry.

Step 4: Use a soft, dry brush to gently smooth the leaf and remove any excess. For best results, seal your canvas with an all purpose sealer or varnish.

Step 2: Using a clean brush, apply the X-Press It Gold Size to selected areas of your painted canvas. Allow to dry for 15 minutes or until tacky.

Step 3: Gently position the leaf over the Gold Size. The sheets can overlap & can be broken up to cover a larger area

What You’ll Need• Printed Photos• X-Press It 2 In 1 Glue Pen• X-Press It Gold Metal Leaf

Add a touch of metal leaf to your favourite photos!


Step 1: Using the X-Press It 2 in 1 Glue Pen, add fine details to sections of your photo. Lines and dots create an interesting texture. Allow the glue to dry for 10 minutes or until tacky.

Step 2: Gently position a sheet of metal leaf over the glue.

Step 3: Use a soft, dry brush to gently smooth the metal leaf and remove any excess.



Creative InspirationMetal leaf photos look great in frames! You could also use this technique to create one of a kind cards and invitations.

What You’ll Need• Kraft Box (5”)• X-Press It Double Sided Adhesive Sheets• X-Press It Silver Metal Leaf• Scissors or knife and cutting mat

Create your own unique custom designs!


Step 1: Using a pair of scissors (or knife with cutting mat) cut the X-Press It Double Sided Adhesive Sheet into triangles.

Step 4: Use a soft, dry brush to gently smooth the leaf and remove any excess. Repeat steps 3&4 on each side of the box and lid.

Step 2: Peel the backing off one side of the cut triangles and position them on each side of your box & lid.

Step 3: Peel the second layer of backing off one side of your box & gently position a sheet of leaf over the exposed adhesive sheet triangles.

Create your own unique pot, using metal leaf


Step 1: Using a clean brush, apply a thin even coat of X-Press It Gold Size to any areas of your pot that you would like to cover with leaf. Allow the Gold Size to dry for 15 minutes or until it becomes tacky.

Step 2: Gently position sheets of Copper Metal Leaf over the tacky Gold Size.

Step 3: Use a soft, dry brush to gently smooth the Metal Leaf and remove any excess. For best results, seal with an all purpose sealer or varnish.

What You’ll Need• X-Press It 12x12” Canvas• Black Acrylic Paint• X-Press It Gold Size• Paint Brushes• X-Press It Copper Metal Leaf• All Purpose Sealer or Varnish

Copper Heart Canvas




Spread the love & create a unique metal leaf masterpiece!


Step 1: Paint the background of your canvas with black paint & allow to dry.

Step 4: Gently position the leaf over each heart, sheets can overlap & can be broken up to cover a larger area.

Step 5: Use a soft, dry brush to gently smooth the leaf and remove any excess. For best results, seal your canvas with an all purpose sealer or varnish.

Step 2: Using a clean brush, apply the X-Press It Gold Size in the shape of a heart, taking up approximately a 9th of the canvas. Repeat the same process to add 8 more hearts.

Step 3: Allow the Gold Size to dry for 15 minutes or until it becomes tacky.
