Stabat Mater

Music by two vastly different modern composers will make this concert very

moving. Arvo Pärt’s, Stabat Mater , describes Mary as she looks upon her

crucified son. Pärt’s powerful, unique music draws listeners on a journey of

inward reflection. Live tableaus add drama to Pärt’s austere “tintinnabuli”

music. Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass is lyric, beautiful, and uplifting, and moves

listeners toward the hope of Easter. Live tableaus add drama to Pärt’s austere “tintinnabuli” music.
