Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

Semester 2 Student reports Parents should have received their child’s Semester 2 report. After reading all 630 reports, I can say that I am extremely proud of the achievements of all students throughout 2017. I would also like to acknowledge the professionalism, time and effort of all teachers and administration staff who have contributed to the reporting to parent process in some way. Carols Night Success

The true Sans Souci spirit was in abundance last Monday

as we managed to go

ahead with the Carols

evening, despite a

change of venue due to

the wet weather. Even

though down in numbers

the boys and girls did a great job entertaining a large

audience with a band performance followed by carol

singing. I would like to thank the large audience of family

and friends for their patience as we did our best

converting what was planned as an outdoor event to a

modified indoor event with limited views for the audience.

Our teachers did a great job preparing the students for the

event and Mrs Evans, Mr Callaughan and Mr Knight

coordinated and hosted the night with a calm touch.

Thanks also to our fabulous P&C team on the BBQ for

keeping all comers well fed and hydrated throughout the

event.

Presentation Day

Presentation Day ceremonies

on Monday’s were a fantastic

celebration of student

achievement in 2017.

Congratulations to all students

for their own achievements

throughout the year, not only

those students who were

acknowledged on the day but

also to every student. I would

like to thank our special guests

for their involvement on the day;

Ms Lennon and Mr Callaughan, our teaching and

administration staff for their preparation leading up to

the day. The audience also enjoyed the excitement

as the 2018 school and sporting house leadership

teams were announced. On behalf of the staff I

congratulate our new leadership teams and look

forward to working with them in 2018.

Farewell Year 6 2017

Tomorrow evening Year 6 staff and students will

celebrate the Year 6 ‘graduation’ from primary school

at a special event held at Doltone House Sylvania.

Parents and family members have been invited the

latter stages of the event to acknowledge this

significant milestone in our students’ educational

journey. On behalf of the staff I would like to wish

Year 6 students all the best for their journey through

Water bottle refilling stations

There is a location in each playground for students to

refill their water bottles. Timer taps have been installed

in the Primary and infants bubbler area as well as the

Year 1-2 playground area. If you are looking at

purchasing a new water bottle for your child for 2018, it

may pay to have a look at the taps to work out which

size bottle will fit and be manageable for your child.

Thanks to the P&C for the suggestion – a great idea!

Sans Souci Launches CareMonkey for 2018

Keep an eye out for a note next week inviting you to

subscribe to our new student data management

system. The note will provide

detailed information about all

aspects of the system and I

strongly encourage all families

to subscribe.

Final Thanks

I would like to thank all members of our amazing

community for contributing to another very successful

year. Our students are provided with a range of

amazing opportunities at Sans Souci PS; primarily

through the commitment and professionalism of our

teaching and administration staff. Our P&C and parent

volunteers also do an amazing job of ensuring our

students are supported in many areas through

fundraising events, as well as class and school

programs. I would thank all families for their ongoing

support and wish all students and families and safe,

happy and relaxing Christmas and holiday break. I

look forward to a fabulous 2018 for all SSPS students

and families!
