Friday 24th March 2017 Message from the head Please look out for an important leer which is being sent home today on the subject of a nut ban in school from the beginning of next term. We have a number of children in school with very serious nut allergies, we have taken advice on this maer and as a result have adopted a NO NUTS policy with effect from the beginning of next term. In general, on food products there is a secon that contains allergy advice. If this says that it 'does contain nuts' or 'may contain peanuts' then we DO NOT allow these products into school. Many product labels say that the product 'may con- tain nuts' and this tends to be manufacturers being cauous, so these products are allowed to be brought into school. You will find more informaon about this on the leer which has been sent home. This change of policy has not been taken lightly and we ask that all parents adhere to it for the safety of all children. Thank you for your co-operaon in making life safe for pupils and staff who have this very serious allergy. Brecknock Primary School, Cliff Villas, London. Message from the head Please look out for an important letter which is being sent home today on the subject of a nut ban in

We have a number of children in school with very serious nut allergies, we have taken advice on this matter and as a result have adopted a NO NUTS policy with effect from the beginning of next term. Many product labels say that the product 'may con-tain nuts' and this tends to be manufacturers being cautious, so these products are allowed to be brought into school. This change of policy has not been taken lightly and we ask that all parents adhere to it for the safety of all children. Batik Painting The children in Year 4 and Year 5 were very lucky to work on a collaborative piece of Batik art. Batik is both an art and a craft of deco-

rating cloth using wax and dye. Some of the children drew pictures of mythical beings - some their very own creation and others from the Greeks. These pic-tures were then transformed into a piece of artwork that will soon feature on the walls of our school. They really enjoyed this experience and the end result is amazing. We can't wait for you to see it.
