Message from Country Director We are pleased to share with you this edition of the HF Chronicles. This newsletter offers a glimpse into the activities, updates and achievements of our interventions from all across the regions for the month of May. The teams in the region with the support of the Core office have been working very hard in overcoming the challenges and taken great strides in extending the reach of our programs to the communities. We have strengthened our programs especially in the area of Economic Empowerment through the Hashoo Huner Program, aimed at promoting the unique craftsmanship of the diverse cultures across the country. We have worked with the most indigenous and marginalized women from the Kalash Valley and have helped them modernize their craft, by making products that are in line with modern day trends. The Environment and Climate Change Program accelerated its efforts towards increasing the visibility of the program, by networking with key players – INGO, NGO, and Government Departments - and awareness-raising events. The program has so far reached out to several key players in the field of Environment and Climate Change and successfully laid the foundations of a long-term partnership with ICIMOD culminating in an MOU signed in Kathmandu, Nepal. As the Foundation moves forward to respond to the external opportunities and challenges, we continue with our legacy of social protection and humanitarian programs designed to help people out of the crippling effects of chronic poverty In all our activities, we will continue to reach out to the extremely vulnerable individuals, marginalized groups and people living with disabilities. By strengthening our programming, we aim to be bolder and wiser, progressively serving the underprivileged and the people in need. We invite all the caring citizen to continue this mission of creating change with us as ‘Together we make a Difference’. Here’s wishing you all Ramadan Mubarak !
