Instrument Cluster

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.

3. Remove the lower steering column cover. 1. Remove the two bolts. 2. Position the parking brake release aside. 3. Remove the lower steering column cover.

4. Remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover reinforcement (04502).

� Remove the five screws.

5. Position the transmission range indicator cable out of the way. 1. Disconnect the cable. 2. Remove the bolt. 3. Position the transmission range indicator cable out of the way.

6. Remove the instrument cluster aside. 1. Remove the screws. 2. Remove the instrument cluster aside.

� Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Instrument Panel—Cluster Finish Panel

Removal

1. Remove the audio unit. For additional information, refer to Section 415-01.

2. Remove the RH instrument panel finish panel.

� Disconnect the electrical connectors.

3. Remove the LH instrument panel finish panel.


4. Place the gearshift lever into the 1 position.

5. Place the steering column into the full tilt position.

6. Remove the instrument panel cluster finish panel. 1. Remove the screws. 2. Remove the instrument panel cluster finish panel.


Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Audio Unit

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Use Radio Removing Tool to pull out the audio unit.

3. Remove the audio unit. 1. Disconnect the connectors. 2. Disconnect the radio antenna lead in cable. 3. Remove the audio unit.

Installation

1. NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
