• Collection of personal stories from local Sacramento County residents

In addition…• Awareness is increasing! People are recalling messaging about mental illness in general, identifying Sacramento County DBHS as a source and recognizing the tagline “it’s not always what you think”
• Shame and stigma are still serious barriers• Willingness to discuss mental illness and to recommend someone they know seek help continually increased

• Over 200 community members trained– Fifty‐seven active speakers
• Speaking events– Over 300 events to date– Bilingual speaking events at Mexican Consulate– Community events
