Make sure you give the staff com-pleting your assessment any help-ful contact information so that we may be in touch with you.

What can I do while I wait to be assigned to a Housing Navigator?You can start collecting your neces-sary documentation (CA ID, SS card, Birth Certificate if applicable, DD214 if applicable) needed for federally funded housing resources. This will expedite the housing referral process after assignment to a Housing Navigator.

Opening Doors Coordinated Assess-ment and Housing Placement (CAHP) system is not an emergency solution.

What is the VI-SPDAT?

Implemented by the Opening Doors Coordinated Assessment and Housing Placement (CAHP) system, the Vulnerability Index - Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool enables providers to fairly and uniformly provide resources to those in need based on: 1. Level of need 2. Score on the assessment 3. Available housing resources

What happens after the assessment?After completing a VI-SPDAT, you may be assigned to a Housing Navigator, based on need, scores, priorities, and staff caseload.
