Mensaje al SME de United Steelworkers SOLIDARITY CALL TO THE (SME) ELECTRICAL WORKERS UNION IN MEXICO Greetings to the members of the Electrical Workers Union. My name is Ken Neumann, National Director of the United Steelworkers in Canada. On behalf of our 250,000 members, I send you a message of solidarity. Our union has been closely following the struggle of the SME workers over the last 23 months to have the Mexican Government recognize the Electrical Workers Union, reinstate the jobs of 16,000 workers, and release the political prisoners. The Steelworkers will continue to support the 16,000 SME workers and 22,000 retirees who have maintained the resistance against these injustices and hope that a fair agreement with the Mexican Government is reached soon. El sindicato United Steelworkers seguirá apoyando a los 16.000 trabajadores del SME y 22,000 jubilados que han mantenido la resistencia contra las injusticias y esperamos que un acuerdo justo con el Gobierno de México se obtenga pronto.
