If you have 1 buy- er and 2 awards you will have 3 notes to write. Envelopes must be properly addressed in ink before you bring your buyer note to the Award Ceremony and you may turn them in at the Livestock Ofϐice after your leader approves of your note. We will attach blank notes to each of the awards for you to use. If you have a market animal, please bring your own note cards to use for your buyer thank you card. We will post all thank you cards dropped in the bucket in the Livestock Ofϐice. You won’t need to stamp them. Envelopes must have complete name of the buyer or sponsor. Envelopes must have the complete return address of the sender. Your note must contain at least one para- graph and be easy to read. Your thank you note should thank the buyer or sponsor for supporting the Junior Livestock Auction and the Redwood Empire Fair and that you hope they will continue to support the youth of Mendo- cino County. You can also tell them a little about yourself such as your age, your activities, hobbies, and how long you have been active with your project(s). Some details about the animal(s) or your project that helped win the award makes your note personal. The buyers are interested in you and your future – don’t be bashful. Award sponsorships depend on the gener- osity of individuals and businesses throughout our community. It shows appreciation to those that have sponsored these awards to have all recipients send hand written, thoughtful thank you notes.

Parents4-HPledgeI pledge my HEAD to give my child the information I can, to help him/her see things clearly, and to make wise decisions.

I pledge my HEART to encourage and support my child no matter whether he/she has successes or disappointments.

I pledge my HANDS to help my child's club; if I cannot be a lead-er, I can help in many equally im-portant ways.

I pledge my Health to keep my child strong and well for a better world through 4-H, for my child's club, our community, our country

and our world.

4-H is a family affair. Parents are role models for their children and those of others. Remember to be a good sport so our children will be too!

Have Fun
