MEMORIAL CARD VERSES


VERSE NO.1 - HAIL MARY

Hail Mary, full of grace,

the Lord is with thee,

blessed art thou among women,

and blessed is the fruit

of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,

pray for us sinners,

now and at the

hour of our death.

Amen.

VERSE NO.2 - GUARDIAN ANGEL

Guardian Angel from

heaven so bright,

watching beside me

to lead me aright,

fold thy wings round me,

and guard me with love,

softly sing songs to me

of heaven above.

Amen.

VERSE NO.3 - IRISH BLESSINGS

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields,

And until we meet again,

hollow of His hand.

VERSE NO.5 - SERENITY

God grant me the serenity to accept the

When those we love go

away, they never really

leave us; they are with us

now, wherever we are.

Those whom we have

cherished,live on forever,

around the heart.

VERSE NO.7 - THE FISHERMAN’S PRAYER

God grant that I may live to fish

For another shining day.

But when my final cast is made

I then most humbly pray:

When nestled in Your landing net,

As I lay peacefully asleep,

You’ll smile at me and judge

That I’m “good enough to keep.”

VERSE NO.8 - PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH

God grant that I may live to fish

O Blessed St. Joseph, faithful

guardian and protector of virgins,

to whom God entrusted Jesus

and Mary, I implore you by the

love which did bear them,

to preserve me from every

defilement of soul and body,

that I may always serve them in

holiness and purity of love.

When I come to the end of the

road and the sun has set for me,

Remember the love that we once

For this journey we all must take,

and each must go alone.

It’s all part of the Master plan,

a step on the road to home.

go to the friends we know

and bury your sorrows

in doing good deeds.

VERSE NO.3 - PRAYER OF SOLACE

May Christ support

us all the day long,

till the shadows lengthen,

and the evening comes,

and the busy world is hushed,

and our work is done.

Then in His mercy may

He give us a safe lodging,

and holy rest and

peace at the last.

VERSE NO.4 - MEMORIES LIVE FOREVER

A bouquet of beautiful memories,

sprayed with a million tears,

wishing God could have spared you,

if just for a few more years.

It does not take a special day,

for us to think of you,

each Mass we hear,

each prayer we say,

is offered up for you.

We cannot bring the old days back,

when we were all together,

our family chain is broken now,

but memories live forever.

VERSE NO.5 - SAFELY HOME

I am home in heaven, dear ones;

oh, so happy and so bright!

There is a perfect joy and

beauty in the everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,

every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever,

you shall rest in God’s own land.

He will gently call you home;

oh, the rapture of that meeting

Our Father,

who art in heaven,

thy will be done on earth

as it is in heaven.

And forgive us our trespasses,

trespass against us.
